With Surface Tensions I am returning to the landscape of my childhood, the chalklands of southern England, and specifically to the River Test. Known for its special water purity and a particularly English form of fly fishing championed by F.M. Halford (above) around the turn of the 20th century, Surface Tensions will reflect upon how climate change might impact the local ecology and with it our understanding of Englishness.
